Maybe it's the small things....

I love my new area. So I guess there was some miscommunication. I live in a little town called Pinedale which is in the middle of Clay Springs and Linden. We cover all three and they are all pretty small. I love Elder Watts he is really funny. Being a zone leader is kind of hard. I didn't really know how many things they had to do. Half my inbox is filled up with emails of things we are supposed to do. We have to go on exchanges and try to teach them how they can be an even better missionary and what we see they could work on. We pretty much have to do all the dirty work to help the zone run smoothly. We have to give trainings too which is scary haha. We get our whole zone together and try to teach and uplift and edify them. Which is so weird and hard to me because first of all it's like giving a talk but has to be really inspiring and most everyone is the zone except for 2 missionaries have been out longer than me. Sometimes it just feel like I'm in the wrong spot but I guess this is where the Lord needed me. So Elder Watts is supposed to be training me on how to be a zone leader and on the area but I feel like sometimes he just does things that missionaries have always done in the area so it makes it ok. Like going to a members house and hanging out for a little bit and leaving without sharing a thought or message. I know it's not a life changing thing but it's not a good use of time. I just don't want to cross the line and be the missionary that is so up tight about things that we don't work effectively together because he doesn't like me. Don't get me wrong Elder Watts is a great Elder and we work pretty well together. I just want something great to happen here. The work to pick up and be a area that others can look to. It's hard to correct people when you need to work on things yourself. I'm trying to think of the ways that my other area was so good and why this one isn't. I can't really find anything too major so I've been trying to work on my obedience. Maybe what's hold us back isn't the area or the members or even the people, maybe it's us. Maybe the small things like hanging out at a members house and actually sharing a message can make all the difference. Love you guys! Happy Valentines!
